Hockey stars including Phil Esposito, Darryl Sittler, Mike Palmateer and Tie Domi will make cameos on the next season of Rent-A-Goalie, now in production for Showcase.

The 10-ep run shoots in Etobicoke, ON until April 6, again starring series creator Chris Bolton (My Secret Identity) as a hockey fanatic who runs a goalie rental service from his family's coffee shop in Toronto's Little Italy. Original webisodes are also being produced to appear on showcase.ca.

"Rent-A-Goalie has been enthusiastically received by Showcase viewers and we're thrilled that we've been able to increase our order from eight to ten episodes this season," says Showcase VP of content Tara Ellis in a release.

The sitcom, produced by Georgian/RAG-TV Productions, is slated for a fall release on Showcase.
