IFC gets Cock-y
by: Nov 22, 2007 Print

IFC is premiering its first original series, the satirical 13-part "rockumentary" Cock'd Gunns. Slotted for Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. ET, it will kick off with back-to-back half-hour episodes beginning Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Showcase will also air the series in the same timeslot as IFC.

Marni Shulman-Tucker, IFC's VP of content, says the show "has the hilarity, lovable characters and cringe-worthy moments that will appeal to fans of Trailer Park Boys, This is Spinal Tap and everyone in between."

The setup is that lead singer/songwriter Reggie, bassist Dick and drummer Barry Ciccarelli are brothers living together for the first time since they were kids. They have formed the Cock'd Gunns -- a rock band with no talent, no songs, no fans and no record deal, only high hopes. In the premiere episode, the Gunns play their first gig.
