Brown sticks with Suck
by: Sep 14, 2009 Print

Tim Brown again has the U.S. and international sales rights to Suck, though this time the rock 'n' roll vampire picture and TIFF sensation will be handled through his new company, Joker Films.

The same rights for Suck, directed by Rob Stefaniuk (Phil the Alien) were previously held by Insight Film Releasing. Brown worked at Insight at the time and was attached to Suck, though he has since struck out on his own, founding Vancouver-based Joker some two months ago.

Brown says Insight passed on the picture, sending the rights back to the producers, after which they went to Joker.

"I followed the title, the title didn't follow me," he tells Playback Daily. The picture is produced through Capri Vision by Robin Crumley, Jeff Rogers and execs Jeff Sackman, Gabriella Martinelli, Terry Markus and Brad Peyton.
