Toronto-based Command Post and Transfer Corporation and Vancouver's Pacific Video have announced an impending deal whereby public post-production and film lab company Pacific Video will make a takeover bid for 100% of the outstanding securities of privately owned Command Post.
Command Post had purchased about 97% of Pacific Video last May, and successful completion of this new deal on May 1 will see the merging of the two companies, with the amalgamated corporation operating under the Command Post name.
Pacific Video is offering to acquire each Command Post common share in exchange for 2.2 Pacific Video common shares.
Upon completion of the deal, Command Post will own the amalgamated company and will have a public listing. Pacific Video currently trades on the vse, and the new company will aim to trade in the future on the tse as well.
