La Femme qui boit opens 19th Rendez-vous

Montreal: Bernard Emond's evocative portrait of an aging alcoholic survivor, La Femme qui boit, is the opening night film for the 19th edition of the Rendez-vous du cinema quebecois, the Quebec industry's annual film and video production retrospective.

The Montreal screenings take place at the Cinematheque Quebecoise and Cinema onf Feb. 15-25, moving on to Quebec City (Feb. 27 to March 3), Winnipeg (March 23-25), Vancouver (March 1-11), Hull, Que. (March 16-17 and 22-24) and Toronto (March 28).

La Femme quit boit was produced by acpav and will be released in theatres by Films Lions Gate. •
