* Chris Zimmer, former president of imX communications, has been promoted to the position of chairman of the board and CEO, but will continue to produce and direct.

Dana Landry, former VP finance, becomes president and CFO, while Robert Blackie moves from director of business affairs to production supervisor.

Ann Bernier, who recently produced Thom Fitzgerald's The Wild Dogs, moves to production executive and director of operations and development, but will remain in charge of the company's French-language

production. Victoria Mainprize joins imX's business affairs and legal department.

John Kelly is leaving imX after four years with the company. He will continue to consult for imX, which has a first-look arrangement for films in development at Kelly's new Toronto-based production company, Feral Films.

* VisionTV cofounder Rita Deverell is joining APTN as the news and current affairs exec producer, effective Aug. 8.

While at Vision, Deverell was senior producer, exec producer and VP.

* Marlene Lone has been appointed to the newly created position of creative director, regional television for Chum Television.
