H. Paul Gill, president of emerging Toronto-based production company Zodiac Media has passed away at age 28. Founder of the company, Gill was described by Zodiac's Denise Lambert as "a wonderful man, very dedicated to the TV industry and an inspiration to work with."

Zodiac was in development on 10 animated and live-action programs under Gill's guidance at the time of his death. Among these is Maple Shorts, a 13-episode animated series produced in association with the CBC and set to debut in early 2004.

Gill died of heart failure and is survived by his parents and his younger brother.
