Vancouver - Local prodcos Ocean Playground Productions and CKO Films are headed into post after 19 days shooting the HD drama Traveling at the Speed of Life.

The $10,000 first feature from writer/director Brent Crowell (Mary Did a Bad, Bad Thing) is about a coffee shop owner whose life is suddenly complicated by the return of an ex-lover with a frightening secret that could affect him greatly.

Traveling is produced by Melissa Anderson and Michael Collins, and exec produced by Charles Lyall (The Collector). The film was financed by its producers. It stars Paul Dzenkiw (In Her Line of Fire), Laura Bertram (Ready or Not), Jenn Bird (I Am My Father) and Curtis Carravaggio (Godiva's). Brad Creasser served as DOP, and Alan Bartolic (Tilt) will handle the editing in Vancouver.

Crowell says he hopes to have sound and picture locked by May for a run at the festival circuit.
