* Sturla Gunnarsson's Beowulf & Grendel has been picked up by Union Station Media and is set for a six-city U.S. release on June 16.

* U.K. sales agent The Works has sold Philippe Falardeau's Congorama - the closing film of this year's Directors Fortnight in Cannes - to distributor UGC in France

* Louise Archambault's Familia has gone to distribs Film Movement in the U.S., Praesens in Switzerland, CTV International in France and to Aztec International, covering both Australia and New Zealand - via deals struck by Christal Films Distribution.

* A director's cut of Thom Fitzgerald's 3 Needles has gone to distributors Force Entertainment, for Australia and New Zealand, and to California Filmes for Brazil via deals with Emotion Pictures.

* Cinemavault Releasing International has picked up the English-language rights to three features by Iron Works Productions and Column Productions in the Netherlands - Interview, directed by Steve Buscemi; Blind Date, directed by Stanley Tucci; and 1-900, to be helmed by Bob Balaban. All three are remakes of movies by the late Theo Van Gogh.

* Cookie Jar Entertainment has sold the German broadcast and brand rights for its preschooler series Caillou to Super RTL.

* APTN recently picked up the New Zealand animated comedy Bro'Town, set to air this fall.

* Crescent Entertainment has bought the film rights to the David Bergen novel The Time in Between, winner of the 2005 Giller Prize.

* The "crime watch" block of programming - comprised of Cold Squad and Stone Undercover - sold to another nine U.S. markets, including stations in Houston, Cleveland and Columbus, according to distribs Thunderbird Films and Program Partners.

* Multi-Platform Distribution Company has picked up the U.S. sales rights to CTV's Corner Gas.

* Disney Channel Germany has debuted a dubbed version of This Is Daniel Cook, following a deal struck late last month with coproducer marblemedia and Picture Box Distribution.

* Decode Entertainment has closed three broadcast deals in France, selling season two of Naturally Sadie to France 2 and its U.K. copro Planet Sketch to France 3 and Nickelodeon France.

* Canamedia has inked a deal to distribute the music catalogue of Pump Audio, aimed at TV and advertising producers.
