* Vincent Cassel (Shrek, Irréversible) has joined the cast of David Cronenberg's forthcoming Eastern Promises, set to begin shooting Nov. 19.

* Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis are making a one-hour Bob and Doug McKenzie reunion special for CBC, expected in 2007.

* Cité-Amérique has teamed with the Montreal Canadiens to make a feature docudrama about the team's 100-year history. Sylvain Archambault (Le Négociateur) will direct.
