* Douglas Coupland is developing a series for CBC based on his recent novel jPod. He has also written a pilot script for Extinction Event, a sci-fi series in the works at True West Films.

* Theater impresario Garth Drabinsky has announced plans for Triple Sensation, a dancing, singing and acting reality competition for 2007/08 on CBC.

* Heroic Film Company (Captain Flamingo) has teamed with Allan Novak (Punched Up) and Joe Sherman to develop the animated reality How Embarassing for Teletoon.

* Quebec-based Image in Media has signed with H2V Spring and DSP to coproduce a movie based on the Slinky toy.
