Scarry show for CBC
by: Apr 16, 2007 Print

CBC has picked up a new series from Cookie Jar Entertainment, and plans to premiere Busytown Mysteries (Hurray for Huckle) perhaps later this year as part of its preschool programming block, Kids' CBC.

The 26 x 30 2D cartoon is based on the work of noted children's author Richard Scarry, produced by Christine Davis under execs Michael Hirsh and Pam Slavin. Scarry's son, Huck Scarry, is sitting in as a creative consultant.

Busytown follows a cat, a hippo and other characters as they solve puzzles and "everyday mysteries" around their hometown. Cookie Jar will handle sales at MIPTV.
