• Shaftesbury Sales has closed several deals for Life with Derek, passing the third season (26 x 30) of the family-friendly comedy to broadcasters including the U.K.'s Toonami, Daro in central and eastern Europe, and the Disney Channels in the U.S., Italy, Germany, Latin America and Spain. Previous seasons have also been picked up by the Nickelodeons in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and by Disney Channel in France, among others.

• Breakthrough Animation has signed a licensing deal with Jetix Europe for the second season of its Captain Flamingo toon, covering the pay-TV, TV distribution, home video and consumer product rights to the series for Europe and the Middle East.

• Outright Distribution now represents the format rights for Inside the Box, the TV trivia show by Lone Eagle Entertainment, in territories including Asia, Russia and Latin America. A second season (65 x 30) is shooting in Toronto for TVtropolis.

• Toronto-based Cuppa Coffee Studios has sold its preschool series Bruno and the Banana Bunch to Discovery Kids Latin America. The 26 x 11 cartoon will premiere there later this year.
