The Mobile Forum is dedicated to helping Canadian film and TV producers and broadcasters network and develop multi-platform strategies for their properties.
Playback Mobile Forum will be focused on mobile content development and delivery for the Canadian film and TV market. This is an emerging area in the entertainment sector and forward-looking producers and broadcasters around the world are aggressively developing mobile content strategies.
With a few exceptions, the Canadian market is trying to catch up in terms of mobile content development. By and large, the telecoms have well-honed strategies for the delivery of such content, but much of this is still being developed off shore. In terms of domestic product, Canada is far behind leading markets such as the U.K., and is even trying to catch lagging markets such as the U.S.
In other words, Canadian film and TV producers and broadcasters have a lot of questions and no organization, as yet, has created a focused event that endeavours to provide answers.
The Mobile Forum will be focused on real-world scenarios to help producers and broadcasters navigate the options and come up with the best solutions to creating cost-effective programming and promotions on the mobile platform.
We will also go beyond the mobile platform, showing Canadian producers how their properties fit into a 360 degree view of cross-platform content creation.
We will also explore the possibilities of partnering with consumer brands such as Coke and Ford as a way to help producers look beyond traditional funding models toward new and innovative revenue streams.
